See you there…

[Translation by William Martin]

Can we embrace both the acceptable
and unacceptable parts of ourselves?
Can we breathe as easily as innocent babies?
Can we see the world clearly
and without judgment?
Can we act with loving-kindness
yet remain unknown and unsung?
Can we watch all things come and go,
yet remain undisturbed?
Can we accept our countless thoughts and opinions,
yet not take them seriously?

If we can do this we are acting
according to the virtue that is naturally ours;
nourishing all things, but possessing nothing;
enjoying all things, but clinging to nothing;
working diligently,
but claiming credit for nothing;
growing in wisdom, but controlling

If freedom is your heart’s desire,
say Yes to Truth without hesitation or compromise.
Say to the Lord of the Heart,
‘Replace ‘me’ with You.
Rid me of ego and merge my mind in You.
If there is identity, replace this identity with Truth. Let there be only oneness here.
Dispel any arrogance, any ego and let me melt in You, beloved Lord of my Heart.’
This Yes is very, very powerful when it comes from the heart itself. It comes from the heart and goes straight to the heart and sets off a time bomb in the earth-bound mind.
This Yes without compromise is the divine Grace that comes to guide you back to your original innocence, to your timeless and limitless being.

“Life is like music for its own sake. We are living in an eternal now, and when we listen to music we are not listening to the past, we are not listening to the future, we are listening to an expanded present.”

Fear arises through identification with form, whether it be a material possession, a physical body, a social role, a self-image, a thought, or an emotion. It arises through unawareness of the formless inner dimension of consciousness or spirit, which is the essence of who you are. You are trapped in object consciousness, unaware of the dimension of inner space which alone is true freedom.

Redemption basically is about holistic health, if you want to translate it into modern parlance. What I suggest - based on the Christian tradition but not often preached - is that you can't enter into the fullness of the Pascal mystery of the redemption unless there is a radical transformation of motivation within you.
